The Prince of Peace is one of the great titles given to Jesus. Here, Corinne reminds us of the tranquility and peace that can be ours through Jesus, Prince of Peace.

Christmas and Relaxation
Christmas time is a time for rest and relaxation. After the busyness has passed, the pageants are played out, and the Christmas presents have been purchased and wrapped, we just look forward to a good long time to unwind. How do we settle in for our much needed repose?
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6). Mary carried Jesus in her womb, and until the time He was born, she had the Saviour of the world dwelling inside of her.
The Perfect Lamb of God
This baby would grow up to be the perfect Lamb of God, who would save us all from the wrath we deserve for our sin. He would grow up to take the punishment that God had laid out for us, thus brokering a peace between us and God. Mary had the fullness of God dwelling in her, and because of that, we as Christians have the fullness of God dwelling within us through the Holy Spirit.
He is the Prince of Peace. Through whom He is, and what He has done, all of us who take Him as our Saviour can enjoy all the tranquility that peace can bring in our lives. As we finally slow down, and come closer to Christmas Day, and the rest of this season, let us remember the sweet peace that He has given us. This is the truest and most valuable gift that we have already received.
She is a stay-at-home mom, who spends most of her time homeschooling their three children.
She attends Scottlea Gospel Chapel in St. Catharines, ON, where Stephen serves as an elder.
