Creativity and Inspirational Messages

Inspirational quotes and social media posts can be encouraging. Carol reminds us of our creativity to bless others.

The Bright Moments in Life

I like the puzzle pieces of life that are named positive, inspirational, gratitude, and building each other up but they are not always easy to do. Sometimes they get hidden among those darker pieces of tough times and change. Just like we need to sort pieces of a puzzle and pull like ones together so we can begin to form a picture, so we need to hunt for those bright moments in life.

Accepting a Challenge

I accepted a challenge from another writer to post positive posts each day for one week to help her celebrate her birthday. What a neat idea. Flood our Facebook with posts that might encourage others or be an inspiration. In this way we could build up each other and pass positive messages to others. Would I be able to come up with something different for seven days? Most likely. Could I continue doing it after? I needed to think on that one.

After a week of searching and posting for the positives, I found myself encouraged. It took time to dig out something to share. It meant looking at each day differently by focusing on uplifting messages, glimpses of joy, and glimmers that offered hope and encouragement. It changed my focus for the better.

Positive and Inspirational

Now I choose to post something positive and inspirational each Monday. It might be a photo and the verses it reminded me of or questions it raised to consider. One photo from our trip to the East Coast by train caught my eye. At the mouth of the St. Lawrence River, the water stretched as far as I could see until it met the horizon. River met ocean and this prairie gal stared at the unfamiliar sight and captured the sun rise sparkling on the water. I commented on the post that day that this awe-inspiring sight pales in comparison to the vastness of God’s love and His longing for us to spend time with Him.

Another photo of storm clouds building over a prairie landscape showed old railway ties piled by an used crossing. They had once upon a time been something useful and important. It offered a contrast to the new life of green buds on trees and waving grass. How often in the building sotms of our lives do we feel the past messes intrude or see the things no longer useful if they ever were? We miss the possibilities and the joy of new life under the burdens of the past and the storm of the present. Jesus invites us to lay down those burdens and allow Him to help us.

God’s Vast Love

Yes these photos reminded me of God’s vast love and how Jesus wants us to lay down our burdens at the foot of the cross. Life will still have storms but he will give us hope. I posted these words and photos to inspire and encourage others the way God had done for me as I thought about them.

On Wednesdays, I chose to post pictures of creative things done by family and friends. By sharing these posts, I could let others enjoy some creativity and build up those making the pieces. By working together we can show kindness and caring to others.

Ephesians 4:32 says,

“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”

In 1 Thessalonians 5: 11 it says,

“Therefore, encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.”

What encourages you and builds you up? How can you use your creativity to encourage others or build them up? As you think on these things, you just may find yourself encouraged in the process for it takes looking for those bright puzzle pieces of our lives and then sharing them with others.
