HopeStreamRadio has made some significant changes recently in order to improve the online experience for our listeners and readers. Stephen March, Operations Director discusses these changes.

Hello and welcome to Bible Tech Talk. Today we are doing something a little different and rather than a traditional review, I am going to take some time to talk about the recent upgrades that have been released right here at HopeStreamRadio. Now if you’re listening to this chances are you have already been made aware of at least one of the changes, but I am going to try to get into a bit more detail about some of the new features that have recently been made available.
Let’s start with the website. Our original website, which was created when HopeStreamRadio first launched in 2015 did a great job for us, but as our content increased we discovered that the layout was causing users to endure pages upon pages of scrolling in order to find what they needed, even if it was something that was current. With the redesign, the overall look and feel of the site is more modern, but we have also been able to restructure our programs and blog pages to be more concise, with the most recent content displayed which means less scrolling. We have then placed all of our past programs into an archive section so that it can still be listened to or downloaded as desired.
The Programs Page
On the programs page, you can select the specific program you want to listen to, and then you will get a track listing for that program. The track player will load, and in the player you will also have the option to download, share the track to social media, or like it. A quick note, in order to like the track you will need to log into either a Sound Cloud account, Facebook or Google. If you do enjoy the track we would encourage you to like it, as we do review the number of likes the different programs get and use it to produce more content that is meeting the needs of our listeners. Also, while we don’t always know the names of the people who liked an individual track, it is a great joy to the individual producers when we are able to tell them how many people enjoyed and were encouraged through their work.
New Email Address
We also have a new email address, [email protected], for any comments, questions, or suggestions you may have. You may even have a new program idea, we would love to hear from you and do whatever we can to help that idea become a reality. Again, that address is [email protected]
Now for the app, the HopeStreamRadio App upgrade was released for Android and iOS in February of 2019. Along with making the app compatible with more of the newer devices, it also allowed us to take advantage of some the features that weren’t available when we first launched years ago, like the sleep timer, and alarm clock feature, which allow for the stream to turn off or on after user defined periods of time. Another improvement is the app is now compatible with VoiceOver and TalkBack technologies for the vision impaired.
Connect To The Website
Through the app you can connect to our website, which is much more responsive that the previous version, and you can also link from the app directly to our social media pages on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. You can rate the app, which again gives us valuable feedback to help us get you the programming and features you are looking for, or again, you can email us by selecting the contact us feature from the app menu.
Now there may be some personal bias, but to me the HopeStreamRadio website and app are simply must-haves. Thanks for listening.
