James S Howlett was an eclectic writer whose interests were mostly focused on interesting characters, be they drawn from the Bible or from the neighborhood. Jim weaved words together in a way that immersed his listeners in the experience of the people about whom he wrote, for he was as gifted at lifting words off the page as he was at putting them on it. A lifetime Hamiltonian, Jim lived there on the beach strip with his wife Carol, though he frequently answered the call of the North, spending time on Manitoulin Island. On April 9, 2023, James Howlett passed into the eternal arms of his Lord and Savior. “The Pensive Mr. Howlett” program is a cherished part of our HopeStreamRadio library. He will be very missed.
